Preconception health is not just about the female. It's also about the male. After all it takes two to tango.
Katherine Hay

Let’s take preconception health!

There is so much information out there about you should and should not be doing when thinking about conceiving a child. Conception, pregnancy, child birth and breastfeeding. There is so much to learn.

Preconception health is not just about the female, it’s also about the male (it takes two to tango). Men’s health is just as important for conceiving a healthy baby.

Research tells us that we pass on ALL of our DNA to our baby at the time of conception. These genes are a set of building blocks for the growth and development of a baby. If you or your partner are feeling your best (physically and mentally) you will pass on that specific DNA to your baby at that point in time. AMAZING!

Diet and lifestyle are the fundamental building blocks for fertility. Undertaking pathology tests (MTHFR DNA testing) to identify current health is also important to understand a female’s supplementation requirements for preconception, pregnancy and breastfeeding. Seeking the help of a health professional to understand this is paramount for safety reasons.

Nutritional deficiencies can cause all types of neural tube defects and other serious health risks to a developing baby.

Working with women to get themselves in the best physical shape possible to grow, birth and nurture a baby is one of my passions and something I love to consult on. If you would like more information please don’t hesitate to reach out.
